The time and day of Jesus return is soon but there is an important factor that has influence as to when this forever life-changing event will happen. In the following paragraph or so I will share this info with you so you can play your part. Here is a hint, repentance. It is written:

[ Now of this one thing you are not to be oblivious, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord is not tardy as to the promise, as some are deeming tardiness, but is patient because of you, not intending any to perish, but all to make room for repentance.

Now the day of the Lord will be arriving as a thief, in which the heavens shall be passing by with a booming noise, yet the elements shall be dissolved by combustion, and the earth and the works in it shall be found.

At these all, then, dissolving, to what manner of men must you belong in holy behavior and devoutness,

hoping for and hurrying the presence of God’s day, because of which the heavens, being on fire, will be dissolved, and the elements decompose by combustion!

Yet we, according to His promises, are hoping for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness is dwelling.

Wherefore, beloved, hoping for these things, endeavor to be found by Him in peace, unspotted and flawless.

And be deeming the patience of our Lord salvation, according as our beloved brother Paul also writes to you, according to the wisdom given to him,

as also in all the epistles, speaking in them concerning these things, in which are some things hard to apprehend, which the unlearned and unstable are twisting, as the rest of the scriptures also, to their own destruction.

You, then, beloved, knowing this before, be on your guard lest, being led away with the deception of the dissolute, you should be falling from your own steadfastness.

Yet be growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory now, as well as for the day of the eon. Amen! ]

This is found in 2nd Peter 8-18, God wants all people to come to repentance and he doesn’t want to lose anyone. From what? Sin. This is the sole reason why Jesus hasn’t come back just yet. From this scripture, we learn God is patient and in spite of our sinful ways he still wants everyone to be saved. Enter free will, we all choose to believe in what we will and as a result, we believe and do what we want. There is an ever-growing mindset/ culture that is focused on “Doing what pleases me”. By our own self will we must individually acknowledge and change our sinful ways and conform to his standard of holiness and repent of our sins as a nation. Love God, Love your neighbor as yourself. Do this through action and not just word.

A new heaven and earth are coming where righteousness will dwell, there will be no more corruption like we see and that happens behind closed doors. There will be no more death, no more sickness. Here you can experience the happily ever after many wish for.

From 1,000 to 2,000 was just a day for the Lord. The interesting thing about each generation is we usually live between 1-120 years give or take. Our time is really short when you put time into perspective. Many can/will speculate as to why COVID-19 happened but I can say if you still have the breath of life in you there is hope. It begins with repentance and seeking a personal relationship with God through Jesus.

I am not talking religion, we can’t earn or pay our way into the new heaven and earth. I am talking about a real/personal relationship with God through Jesus. Ask more about the free gift.

How to get right with God: Pray to the Lord like so:  “Lord, please forgive me a sinner. I come to your throne in your living son Jesus’ name asking for the forgiveness of my sins. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is your son, he died on the cross for my sins and was raised to life thus ensuring my salvation. He is my Lord, I acknowledge you as creator and Jesus as your living son. Please lead my life and show me how to be what you’ve called me to be, a son/daughter of you through Jesus. Amen.

The next step is to get baptized in the Lord and begin the life long journey of discipleship. If you need someone to help you with this process, please reach out. Let’s go on this journey together.
